Sport in Nottinghamshire relies on thousands of volunteers who help to make this the sporting county.

We need even more so if you would like to find out how to get involved this section will give you ideas and put you in contact with the right people.

So if you are already giving up your time to help and need advice or support, or if you think you have some time to get involved, this section gives you practical advice.

There are exciting chances to get involved in major sports events being staged in the city and county.  So if you have fancied being behind the scenes at an event you would otherwise have watched on television or bought a ticket to see, we can point you in the right direction.

Young people can build their confidence and skills by volunteering, older people can stay active and involved in their local community.
